Fish curry is a quintessential dish in many coastal regions of India, where fresh seafood meets the bold, aromatic spices that define Indian cuisine. A homemade fish curry offers a comforting and rich experience, with tender pieces of fish simmered in a tangy, spicy gravy made from a blend of tomatoes, coconut milk, and a variety of spices. Each region has its own twist, but the essence of a well-made fish curry lies in its balance of flavors—spicy, tangy, and just the right amount of heat. This dish is perfect for pairing with hot rice or Indian bread, bringing the tastes of the sea right to your dining table.

Ingredients

Process:

• Clean the fish or if you have already bought pieces
  
  
• Pour the oil in a pot and heat it. Once the oil is heated put the pieces of fish in it.
  
  
•  Deep fry the fish and once golden brown take it out and keep it aside.
  
  
• Now prepare the gravy base for fish.
  
  
• Use the same oil in which you fried fish put ½ teaspoon fenugreek seeds in oil and let it become golden brown.
  
  
• Now put the garlic paste and sauté it put turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder and salt mix everything and let it saluted, put ½ cup of water and make the gravy thick or runny as per your preference.
  
  
• Now put the fish in the gravy cover the pot and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes and switch off the gas.
  
  
• Once the dish is ready put chopped green chili and green coriander leaves.
  
  
• Serve the dish in serving bowl. You can enjoy it with rice or bread.
